Three Aphorisms for a Time of Great Transition

Dec 05, 2025

As we move through December and toward the threshold of 2026, the energy is less about doing and more about remembering. Rae Ellen Sievert, resident astrologer at Lightbody Academy, offers three simple but powerful aphorisms that have been “whispered by the star elders” as guides for this moment: Be still and know. Know thyself. To thine own self be true.

This is a time to stop striving. The invitation is to pause, witness, and go inward. Stillness becomes the access point to deeper knowing. “Know thyself,” Rae Ellen reminds, is not a suggestion to analyze personality—it’s a sacred directive to reconnect with the soul. Ancient wisdom, echoed by Plato and even inscribed at Delphi, tells us that self-knowing is the prerequisite to understanding the world.

And finally, to thine own self be true. Not as a slogan, but as an act of courage, especially when external voices try to sway. Integrity begins with the refusal to self-abandon. These three phrases, simple as they are, hold the frequency needed to cross the next energetic threshold. As January opens a portal of transformation, they may be the most important truths to carry forward.
